KOTA KINABALU: FAM Cup League debutante Beverly FC are all fired up ahead of their opener against visiting FELDA United of Kuala Lumpur at the Penampang Stadium on Sunday.
“We are all pretty excited about the game. Obviously it is all because this will be our first game at this level,” team manager Mat Amin Samsuddin said yesterday. “We have been training regularly since September last year and we cannot say that we are not ready.
“I can see that the players are pretty much looking forward to the game. And I can say that we are ready for the big day,” he added. “We really hope to kick start our campaign with a bang. Winning the first game would be the right tonic to spur the team for the rest of the season. Furthermore, we need to attract fans to come and support the team, and to do that, we need to keep winning.
“I’m confident of the team, and now it is only a matter for them to show off their stuff on the battlefield,” said Mat Amin.
For the match, Mat Amin said tickets will be on sale from 12 noon today. On match day (Sunday) ticket counters will also open at 12 noon. “Tickets are also available at Seri Sempelang outlets in Sembulan and Donggongon,” said Mat Amin, adding that grandstand tickets are priced at RM8, while it’s RM5 for open terrace.
