Premier League : Plus remains on driving seat

KL PLUS is firmly on the driving seat after an emphatic 3-0 win over Proton FC on Monday night kept them on top of the Premier League.
Coach Mat Zan Mat Aris again bore witness to the deadly finishing of Brazilian-Argentine combo – Tercio Nunez Machado and Adrian Dario Trinidad – with the third goal coming from Lot Abu Hassan.
Trinidad enhanced his reputation as the Latin goal machine with the opening goal four minutes after the interval, followed by Machado’s strike in the 68th minute and Lot’s goal four minutes later.
“It’s good that we maintained our focus. Leading the league is certainly a pleasure, but it comes with pressure,” said Mat Zan.
Kuala Muda Naza is second, four points adrift with a match in hand after a closely-contested tussle against Kuala Lumpur.
The Northern side bagged three points in the 3-2 win, former national striker Liew Kit Kong’s 75th minute goal enough to send Kuala Lumpur back empty-handed despite Impraim Godfred Attah’s earnest efforts in producing two goals in the 23rd and 88th minutes. Earlier Jose Antonio (41st) and former KL boy Azralan Azmi (58th) hit the back of the net.
In Kota Bharu, Kelantan beat Johor Pasir Gudang 3-1, with up-and-coming striker Badri Radzi’s double in the 33rd and 50th minutes enabling Norizan Bakar’s disciples to produce a satisfying win. Ramzul Zahini in the 79th minute completed the win, despite the efforts of Laurent Tumba who narrowed the gap in the 55th minute.
Felda United lost to Harimau Muda 3-1 while Malacca lost to Sabah 3-2 at home.
PKNS beat Armed Forces 3-2 thanks to Tengku Adam Tengku Rosly’s winning goal.
