No goals, points shared

Sorry for the late update. The streamyx downtime on Friday and Saturday in KK affected me as well. My broadband was only restored Saturday evening 6pm. Anyway, on with the news.

Sabah failed to capitalise on home advantage to take 3 points againts Felda United when they continued to fire blanks and shared the points with the visitors. Taking positive things from this match is that the Rhinos remained as the only team without any goal conceded in the league so far.

However, the young players need to start banging in the goals if they want to capitalise on their good defensive record.

On the team news however, Hamidin Amat left the team through mutual consent with SAFA. It was reported that the reason was personal, no more details being published. His departure was in the midst of the open secret that players’ salary were late for up to 4 months.

Ex Rhino Zaykiel Leong however is itching to get back into the team. Not sure if FAM will approve SAFA’s request to sign him up before May, which is when the transfer window is open.

Sabah’s next game is againts Melaka on Monday, 16th March 2009 at the Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka.
