The national junior team of Malaysia showed the young players of Sabah how to win games when they notched up a 2-0 win Friday night.
The 3 points gained by the Tigers also enabled them to go top of the league as Johor FA is not playing.
With Sabah’s loss and Shahzan Muda’s win over PKNS FC, the night saw these two teams switch places. Sabah is now on 10th while Shahzan Muda is on 9th after 12 games, which completes the first round of the league.
That means, after meeting all of the 12 teams in the league for the first time this season, Sabah won 2, drew 4 and lost 6 games. The Rhinos gained 10 points from a possible 36.
The second round of the league start immediately this coming Monday, with Sabah and Harimau Muda meet again but this time in Likas.
Based on Sabah’s current form and the young Tiger’s unbeaten run in the league, getting a draw off of them on Monday is a good achievement already.
