Kuala Lumpur: The National Sports Institute is to set up a special team to monitor every match of the Super League football tournament in the next season as part of the effort to improve the standard of the game, director-general Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz said Saturday.
He said the unit would study the scheduling and management of the matches for every team competing in the league.
“The outcome of the study will be handed over to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM),” he told Bernama.
Dr Ramlan said the team would make a video recording of all matches to enable the coaches to evaluate the action on the field.
The methodology was used by the national team over the last three years and this enabled it to win the gold medal at the SEA Games in Laos last year. – Bernama
