Another news with the FAM website, last month their domain expired. Now it was hacked.
The FAM official website has now bore the brunt of football supporters’ wrath when it was hacked last night, with the messages attacking their decision to increase the ticket prices for the Malaysia Cup final this weekend between Terengganu and Negri Sembilan to a whopping RM50.
As seen from the screenshot above, the tiger was replaced with a pig – a punch below the belt for FAM. Until now, their website has not recovered. Only a fresh installation of Joomla can be seen.
Personally, this hacking is of course wrong as there are other channels for complaint. However, touching on the ticket increase, I think it is too much to be sold at RM50. A normal ticket price during the regular season is around RM15 to RM30 and besides, FAM is under the Sports Ministry aka government, which should have money to cover for events like this. FAM need to justify their reason for the steep increase in prices and make them public.
