Questionable decisions

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah manager Hj Shariman Abdullah is satisfied with the players’ performance despite the team losing 0-2 to Felda United in their opening match of the Malaysia Super League season held at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Tuesday. He said the team should have won the match outright but because of some questionable decisions, the team was deprived of the valuable three points.

Sabah optimistic

KOTA KINABALU: The much-anticipated Malaysian Super League 2012 kicks off today with Sabah taking on a new-look KL Felda United FC in an evening match at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka. The tie that is scheduled to kick off at 4.45pm will see Sabah facing an unknown opponent, who retained only five of its players from last year’s squad and recruited 17 new faces including their sole foreign signing, Argentine Matias Favano.

Tricky season ahead for Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: It could be a tricky year for Sabah FA as they bid to outperform their Borneo rivals on all fronts, Sarawak FA.

Last year, it was a mixed season for Sabah, as they performed admirably in the Malaysia Cup, but struggled immensely in the Super League. Trailing champions Kelantan by 28 points, Sabah eventually finished 10th with only seven wins throughout the season.
