Ok guys, basically begini la sorita dia kemarin, utk first report ni sy focus pasal acara dulu… :D

Event started around 8.30 dgn ketibaan vvip, vip dan org ramai yg dijemput dtg. Bg pegawai k’jaan dorg kebanyakannya dtg guna Toyota fortuner. Around jam 9.30 pg, PM n CM tiba dengan menggunakan feri catamaran dan berlabuh d inner berth wharf Sapangar Bay Container Port. Lepas to dorg terus bergerak ke gudang yg telah diubahsuai supaya inda nampak mcm gudang. Masa PM smpi dkt luar gudang tue, kedengaran lah laungan ‘hidup pak lah’… then dia berjalan masuk atas red carpet sambil dihimpit2 ulih wartawan yg mo ambik gambar n urang ramai yg mo bersalaman.. punya la lama dia mo sampai p tmpt duduk dia…

Majlis d mulakan dgn bacaan doa n pastu hadirin menyanyikan lagu negaraku n sabah tanah airku.. :D)… pastu CM berucap…content ucapan ndak payah la sy elaborate.. hehe.. then giliran PM berucap sekaligus merasmikan SDC (acara kemuncak).. after that PM merasmikan pula Sapangar Port dan kemudian ada tayangan video pasal SDC… video conference juga di adakan between PM n Datuk Seri Pairn d Keningau and Datuk Raymond Tan d LD..

Then, majlis diteruskan dgn pemberian cendera-kenangan olih CM kpd PM berupa sebatang tongkat. According to PM, dia mimang peminat/collector tongkat sbb tongkat adalah basically sebatang kayu/stick yg tiada value pada mulanya.. tp bila suda d ukir santik maka valuenya akan meningkat… maksudnya lebih kurang begini lah: sbg manusia, w’pun kita tiada apa2, tp bila kita kasi tingkat value yg ada pd diri kita (mcm knowledge, skill etc) then ita akan menjadi urang yg berguna, from nobody to somebody lah itu…hehehe…

After that, berlangsung majlis menandatangi memorandum persefahaman atau MoU antara bbrp syarikat tempatan n antarabangsa. Nnt sy kasi list MoU yg dorg sign. Masa ni, kelihatan suda budaya2 org sabah yg mmg dari dulu inda pernah lupus.. budaya meninggalkan majlis yg belum tamat..!!! kerusi2 d belakang byk yg kusung… then yg sy heran.. ada bbrp row kerusi yg dkhaskan utk org2 umno juga bernasur-ansur kosong..!!! hehehe…

After that, pengacara majlis pun mengumumkan acara tamat dgn diakhiri nyanyian lagu ‘sayang kinabalu’ olih kimin mudin n Linda (time nie ada yg sedang berjalan keluar dewan duduk balik..hehehe..)… at the same time para vip di jemput melawat expo/pameran…

Semua hadirin d dlm dewan menerima ‘doorgifts’ berupa beg yg berisi 1. botol sarsi vanilla 2. mineral water 3. amplang 3. kuih cincin 4. cokolat 5. newspaper sabah times 6. pamphlet SDC.

2nd report nnt sy kasi sorita serba sedikit info yg sy dpt pasal visi, misi. prinsip, komponen SDC, wilayah pembangunan dan gambar2…

Ok.. laporan kedua..  :D

First ialah misi n visi SDC nie..

Tiga prinsip utama SDC ialah
1. Industri dan perkhidmatan bernilai tinggi
2. Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang seimbang
3. Pemuliharaan alam sekitar

next report pasal sandakan sbg hab pendidikan d sabah... tungguuuuu.. hehe..  :D

Launch charts a first in Jatropha use

KOTA KINABALU: Jatropha biodiesel fuel was used for the first time yesterday in a Toyota Land Cruiser in the country.Appropriately, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was the one chosen at the Sabah Development Corridor Expo to fill the vehicle with the biodiesel fuel derived from Jatropha curcas seeds planted in Sabah on a trial basis.

The Jatropha curcas tree is native to Central America and the Caribbean and its seeds yield a non-edible oil, utilised to make biodiesel fuel.

Briefing the Prime Minister on how the fuel could be used without making any changes to vehicles, Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) officials said that the Jatropha biodiesel fuel had been successfully used in India.

SLDB general manager Jhuvarri Majid said that their immediate plans were to cultivate a 10ha plot of land together with Malaysia-India partners Borneo Alam Ria Biomatrix (Sabah) Sdn Bhd to ensure sufficient seedlings as well as transfer of technology.

Jhuvarri said that SLDB was planning to cultivate Jatropha on a commercial basis as they believed it could help in eradicating poverty in Sabah.

“People in the interior can work six-acre plots of land provided by SLDB and can earn at least RM1,500 a month,” he said.

He said three companies – Nihon Biotech Inc (Japan), Kelana Stabil Sdn Bhd (a US-based company) and TKM Resources Sdn Bhd (A South Korea-based company) – were keen to be involved in the Jatropha industry.

The three companies, which have promised to buy the fuel for export to their respective countries, hope to inject about RM300mil into Jatropha cultivation if land was provided.

They believe that the Jatropha curcas could be planted in interior areas of Tambunan, Keningau, Tenom and Nabawan to help poor farmers overcome poverty.
